Findit.lk ("we", "us") operates a directory of home-service professionals in Sri Lanka. This policy explains what information we collect from customers and professionals ("pros") and how we use it.
2. Information we collectඅපි එකතු කරන තොරතුරු
- Customers: your name, phone number, town and job description when you request a quote.
- Pros: your name, phone number, WhatsApp number, email, trade, service areas, price list, languages, and a copy of your National Identity Card (NIC) for verification.
- Automatic: basic device and browser information, IP address, and pages viewed.
3. How we use NIC imagesජාතික හැඳුනුම්පත් පින්තූර භාවිතය
NIC images are used only to confirm a pro's identity before we award the "NIC Verified" badge. They are stored securely, are never shown publicly, are not shared with customers, and are deleted on request or when your account is closed.
4. How we use other informationඅනෙකුත් තොරතුරු භාවිතය
To display pro profiles, connect customers with pros, send transactional messages (job leads, verification results), improve the service, and comply with Sri Lankan law.
5. Sharingබෙදා හැරීම
We do not sell personal data. Pro profile information you choose to publish is public. Customer contact details you enter into a quote request are shared with the matching pros you selected.
6. Your rightsඔබේ අයිතිවාසිකම්
You may request a copy, correction or deletion of your personal data at any time through your account settings or by reaching out through the main Findit.lk website. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Retentionතබා ගැනීම
Account and NIC data is retained while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account closure, except where retention is required by law.
8. Securityආරක්ෂාව
We use encrypted connections and access controls to protect your data. No online service is 100% secure — please use a strong password and do not share your login.
9. Cookiesකුකීස්
We use minimal cookies to keep you signed in and to measure aggregate site usage.
