Right to Information (RTI)

The Right to Information Act lets citizens request information from public authorities. Each authority has an Information Officer, with appeal to the RTI Commission.

How to apply

1. 1Identify the public authority that holds the information.
2. 2Submit an RTI request to its Information Officer (form or letter).
3. 3Await the response within the statutory time.
4. 4Appeal to the Designated Officer, then the RTI Commission, if refused.

Good to know
